WoW Rogue Guide
The Rogue is a true class act with the ability to inflict some major damage on their enemy at warp speed.
The Rogue is a pure melee class that can deal out some serious damage and can also be equipped with several high damage abilities throughout the game to annihilate their enemies fast whether in PvE or PvP mode.
The Rogue is also capable of dual wielding every type of one handed weapons that can be discovered throughout World of Warcraft. Another cool ability that lends itself to Rogue is the use of special abilities with energy.
Rogues also possess the ability to apply combo points on their opponents and are also equipped with some pretty nifty finishing moves which are more effective when more combo points applied to the target. There's a maximum of 5 combo points that can be applied to a target at any one time, these will reset once the finishing move has been used.
Besides their ability to deal out heavy damage, the Rogue is also excellent for stealth, with their preference to attack from behind with the back-stab ability. They can flurry around unnoticed in battlegrounds and arenas, sneak up behind their enemies and have the instant advantage over their opponent. Stealth mode can also be used for quests to sneak past the mobs and grab the loot totally unnoticed (huge time saver).
Stealth mode also proves to be very useful for PvE scenarios as there's another ability which is called Slap. The Slap ability can be used against humanoids and will keep them frozen from combat for up to one minute. It can also blind an opponent for 12 seconds, making them incapacitated during that period (very handy).
The Rogues are also equipped with some excellent disrupting abilities making them an ideal class for both PvP and PvE scenarios. Some Rogues have the ability to stun-lock enemy NPC's as well as other players, which basically incapacitates the opponent so they can barely cast or even move.
Rogues can also further boost their damage output by using poisons on their weapons, also handy for putting some kind of debuff on the enemy.
WoW Rogue Guide - Talent Trees
The Rogue is a versatile class and can specialize in Assasination, Combat, Subtlety build and can use a combination of the three talent trees. Either way the talent trees will inevitably increase the damage output of the Rogue.
The Rogue is a versatile class and can specialize a specific talent tree or a combination of the three talent trees. The main purpose of the Rogues talent trees is to increase their damage output. Tanking and Healing have never been suited to the Rogue class and would probably even be considered their weak spot.
Inevitably it will be down to the players preference as to which talent build to opt for. Each of the three talent trees has their advantages and disadvantages and it all boils down to how each player wishes to play the game. If you're looking for ideas for a Rogue leveling build then the Assassination tree is a nice choice as it will focus on the crit rate as well some of the poison aspects of Rogue class.
The Combat build which will allow the Rogue to specialize in a specific weapon. For leveling purposes it would probably be wiser to focus on this build once you've leveled 80 and you have a decent set of weaponry.
The Subtley talent build is usually popular among the PvP players as it can greatly improve the Rogues burst. This build focuses heavily on Survivability and Stealth stats for the Rogue.
