Leveling in World of Warcraft will take a lot of time. Not because the game is difficult, but because you will need to go through many levels and a lot of content. Thus it is very important to know where you can find some shortcuts. There are several things you can do to hasten your progress, but I will be talking about one in particular. Why choose specific WoW leveling areas?
The fastest way to level up in the game is by doing quests. As you do them, you will spend most of your time running to and from quest objectives. This can be a problem when you don't have a flying mount as you will need to go around hills and ravines all the time. Unless you pick better areas to level in.
That is why you need to be extra picky when it comes to the areas where you should do quests. A large open area that doesn't have many obstacles is what you need to move around fast and get things done. That way you will be shortening your leveling time quite a lot.
What to look for in the WoW leveling areas you have available.
Almost every level range in the game has two or three alternatives of zones where you can go. As I said earlier, you need to pick the ones that have a plain terrain and not many mountains, ravines and rivers. That way it will be easier to move around.
You also need the leveling areas that have a lot of quest hubs. Not every zone has a lot of quests that are easy to do and offer appropriate rewards. Make sure you also check for mobs around the map. If the whole area is filled with random mobs you will have a really hard time moving without having two or three enemy NPCs chasing you. And that will also slow you down.
Don't worry about the fact that you won't be gaining a lot of reputation with the factions in the areas you level in. The items you get from them will only be useful to you for a few levels. And they won't be a lot better than what you get from the quests.
If you keep these things in mind when you go to do quests, you should be able to save a little more time. If you add other things like a leveling guide, the right talent build, heirloom items and a leveling guild, you will end up saving hours from your total play time when you reach the level cap. That's why it is very important to do quests in the right WoW leveling areas.
