Beginners' Guide to Playing the Blackjack Card Game

If you want entertainment while winning a huge amount of money - you should try to play blackjack. The card game is famous in many casinos, online or offline. Honing skills in playing blackjack have been the ace of many gamblers - why not master yours today?

Becoming a blackjack master also takes time. You will need to know the rules of the game first. Be an expert on basic moves and create effective strategies for the win. You will also need to know and hone your blackjack card counting skills.

Actually, it does take a rocket scientist to count blackjack cards. All it takes is a simple analysis of its numbering principle. But before you study how to count blackjack cards, lets discuss first what are the basic rules of playing blackjack.

The main rule is to get a card combination that's higher than the dealer's card - but will not exceed 21. Same as the dealers hand, it should be greater than the players' but should not go higher than 17 - depending on the casino rules. Blackjack allows the players to have 2 or more card combinations.

The dealer will distribute the cards in a clockwise manner until all players have 2 shown cards on hand. However, the dealers' card will have one shown and the other hidden. After the cards have been distributed evenly, the result of the game will then depend on these allowed actions:

Hit

When you say hit, it implies that you want and additional card to your hand and dealer will randomly give you one. If the additional card added to your hand's value - exceeds the value of 21 - then you will get busted.

Stand

Stand will let the dealer know that you have enough cards. And it's a signal that you are ready go head-to-head with the dealers hand. Critical blackjack card counting skills is needed in order to make a close win against the dealer.

Double Down

This command will let you have an additional card but you will double your bet. This should only be done if you are sure of your cards on hand.

Split

If you have two identical cards on hand, let's say an 8 of speed and 8 of hearts, then it will allow you to split the cards together giving you two hands at a time.

There are also special rules of the game like Blackjack. If you have an Ace and a card with a value of 10 (queen, king, jack, and 10 ) then it is a blackjack card combination. You will win the game unless the dealer has also a blackjack card combination. If the thing happens, it's a tie and bet is given back.

The secret behind effective blackjack card counting is assigning it with numbers. Always remember that a deck filled with 10's will be an advantage on the players part while a deck filled with numbered cards will give the advantage to the dealer.

An Introduction to Forum Role Playing

As children we all played role playing games. Even if you weren't into the latest rpg on the Nintendo, you still engaged in role playing every time you play dress up or make believe. This playful practice was formalized into an actual game with rules when wizards of the coast introduced Dungeons and Dragons to the market. From there a variety of spin of card games, board games, and video games ensued. One of the most interesting incarnations is the creation of forum role playing games however.

A forum is a place where people can go online to have discussions with other people from around the world. The software lets them post answers and responses to one another in tandem, either using flat or threaded style formatting.

The role playing takes place when members of the forum each take on the identity of a fictional character. They then work together, responding back and forth in order to tell a story, which moves progressively forward as the various members respond to one another's inquiries.

As the story progresses the players can use either standard literary style to tell the story with quotation marks going around verbal responses from the character, while unenclosed text is used to indicate actions. In other forms, the text will be enclosed in some sort of literary marks, while the actual verbal responses are left unenclosed. The style you play will be determined by the specific site and its community guidelines.

In general other rules will apply to these games as well. Generally you won't be allowed to break character or go OOC (out of character) unless it's through private messaging. Sometimes there will also be a moderator that will direct the flow of the game. These people will often have their own thread specific rules which can be consulted on in private.

The interesting thing about forum role playing is that unlike in other forms, a forum allows the players to keep a record of their interactions, and the story that is created is almost a living book which is constantly growing and changing as more and more people participate.

This makes it as much an act of literary communion as it does a game. In the end the most important thing ends up being that the story you are telling is satisfying. This trumps the importance of keeping your own personal characters safe and out of trouble, or defeating other characters in tasks and challenges.

RolePages is one of the leading forum role playing sites on the web, with thousands of members eager to interact in a variety of multimedia storylines which can be easily joined at any time. The author of this article is Jim Slate, one of the editors on the site.

Online Role Playing Options

Role playing is an act that is natural to everyone. As children we do it constantly without ever knowing it, from playing doctor, to storming an evil castle, make believe is part of the intrinsic mechanisms in our brains. By engaging in this activity you are stretching your imagination, exercising your ability to think theoretically and to envision scenarios that are beyond the ordinary. Today, one of the best places to engage in these types of role playing games is on the internet.

World of Warcraft is probably the biggest and most popular role playing game around. It is a massively multiplayer graphically based system, which is much like a video game that you would play on a home console, except that your graphical avatar exists in a perpetual world, which is shared by millions of other characters who can log on at any time of the day or night, ensuring that there is always something new to do in the game.

There are hundreds of other graphic based multiplayer RPG games including Asheron's Call, Neverwinter Nights, and Furcadia. These vary in sophistication, with some being built on advanced 3d modeling technology, while others are much simpler, resembling the 16 bit Nintendo RPG's of the early nineties.

Beyond these graphical titles, there are also a number of mixed media, and literature based role playing systems, which attempt to give you a more subtle gaming experience. Many of these are based on forum or chat software systems that allow users to interact with one another, writing parts of a story in tandem. Each player assumes the role of a character and then the story progresses by the player writing about how their character reacts to what is taking place in the virtual world.

Some advanced systems incorporate pictures, videos, and music in order to create a more immersive atmosphere. Facebook and other social networks are often used for these types of games, even though their terms of service often expressly forbid the creation of fake role playing accounts.

http://www.rolepages.com/ is a role playing social network that is designed to give people who want to engage in literary role playing the social networking tools they need to effectively create interactive stories with one another. Different regions may use a different number of tiles, but generally, each player receives thirteen tiles. The objective is to match all the tiles in his or her hand before the other players. Players, in turn are allowed to draw a new tile from the table or pick up a matching tile discarded by another player. The second objective is to assemble the highest -scoring hand. PS2 Games You Love Playing!

People are addicted with lists. They list everything from best pick-up lines to worst things to wear in bed. Well, I am not. When I was asked to make a list of the top games in PS2 I answered back with "Are you crazy?" There are hundreds of amazing games in the PS2 and listing only 20 or 10 of them would just be skimming the surface. I have a better idea though, I will list the games that best represent a gaming genre for the PS2. I know your specific game of choice might not be included here but rest assured that I will give you all the best reasons why I chose these specific games. Also, I will just mention 4 of the many gaming genres. If given the chance, I will continue with the other genres not mentioned here. So just sink your teeth into these.

RPG - Final Fantasy X

I am not sure if it goes the same way with you, but when I hear RPG, "Final Fantasy" pops up automatically in my head. Let's face it, Final Fantasy took role-playing to a whole new level and almost theatrical at some points. Final Fantasy X is something one can play today, tomorrow and the next few years and is a sure treasure for all PS2 fans. A lot may contest my claim but if you want to get the feel of an RPG, start with Final Fantasy X and you will then know a good RPG when you play one.

Racing - Gran Turismo 3: A-spec

A lot of racing games come and go. Some are just full of hot air while others fail to keep the gaming public on the edge of their seats. GT3 was all about the "experience". It had real engine sounds, real tyre sounds and accurate measurements of real courses. It was the paramount of racing games and set the bar high for soon to be released racing games.

Free-Roaming - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

GTA is the mother of all free roaming games. GTA: Vice City created such a spree in the gaming public that it easily became one of the most addictive games of all time. Meanwhile, GTA: San Andreas used the momentum from Vice City to propel itself from being one of the biggest games of all time to becoming one of the all-time best. The best quality of GTA: San Andreas is the way it captured the whole era (90's) and transformed it. This was a first in any form of media experience ever.

Action - God of War

We are all aware that action games are on a totally different level compared to all the other gaming genres. It's got blood, broken bodies, women and weapons. Needless to say, some action games capitalize on those things and end up good - but not the best. God of War took the gaming public by surprise when it came out. It capitalized on the 4 things mentioned above and added 2 things - a stylish and innovative combat system and a very high level of brutality last seen in the Mortal Kombat series.

The Advantages and Disadvantages of Playing Cooking Games

Ten years ago, the only cooking games children knew made use of kitchen sets and easy-bake kits. Today, cooking games for girls are available online, and parents do not have to worry about little pots and pans scattered across the floor. But what is most impressive about today's game dynamics is that it teaches children more than just using their imagination. Aside from realistically instructing them about how to prepare certain meals, with the rules and challenges that have been applied, the kids' analytical and problem solving skills are also sharpened.

In addition, cooking games online are more affordable than getting plastic toys. Most of them can be downloaded and installed for free. So it doesn't matter if you get her ten or twenty games, because it will not be a burden to you financially. And unlike those plastic sets that eventually get broken or lost, online games are sustainable. They can be reinstalled again if the family computer is reformatted or if there are errors in the software's function.

Moreover, with online cooking games for girls, you can trust that your child is just staying at home and not wondering around. You can't keep your eye on her when she steps out of the house to visit a neighbour so they can play with Barbie dolls and cooking toys. And you can't access her that easily, either, when she is staying over at her friend's place. With this entertainment tool, you can rest your mind and not compromise her enjoyment.

Finally, online games make a good bargaining chip when you want your kid to do something for you - whether it is to help you clean the house or to eat her vegetables. And it may even encourage her to be more interested in household chores, particularly when preparing meals, since it is what she excels in, virtually.

Of course, online games are not perfect, and they do come with a set of disadvantages as well. As most of you already know, they can be addicting; which means, your kid could spend more than 12 hours a day playing cooking games and trying to complete stages. As health experts have emphasized, this is an unhealthy practice, especially considering the fact that children need sunlight and exercise in order to keep their bodies healthy and functioning properly. Psychologists also raise a red flag with the social isolation computer games impose. And there are some researchers who warn people about the adverse effects of prolonged UV exposure. There is also that risk that playing cooking games for girls would lead them to other gaming options that are sordid in nature. However, with conscious regulation coming from authority figures, these downsides should not pose too much of a problem for parents.

As a pre-emptive measure, make sure to establish a specific playing schedule for your kids, so that they won't go overboard with the activity. Be participative in what they're doing as well, so you know if they are still engaged in something acceptable. In addition, get them interested in physical activities, so they don't just obsess over computer games.

Tips in Playing Motorbike Games

Many people like playing online motorbike games, which are much like online car racing games. These speed racing activities have similar platforms and instructions. Generally, these involve racing against opponents and reaching the finish line ahead of others, or within a specified length of time. Many games involve goals and tasks along the way, so you could advance to the next level, or you could earn points to win. Unless you are a total beginner, these amusements are a no-brainer. Instructions are generally well laid out for anyone to understand. A lot of players just start off without reading instructions. The following tips should be able to make your gaming experience easier.

1. Check out known game sites online. There are several websites now that offer these activities. You should be able to find them on the first page of Google when you look for online games. But you want to be specific by searching for motorbike games. You can try the websites out one by one, and see which one interests you the most. However, all of the sites you will encounter probably have the same features and very similar games. There may be differences in layout and graphics, though these should be minor. Stay away from notorious sites that ask for personal information or drop spyware on your PC.

2. How's your internet speed? Most online games require you to have decent internet speed. In many countries, internet reliability is no longer an issue. You eventually would know if you are having problems with internet connectivity when nothing on the internet loads properly. Check this issue with your internet service provider, if ever you should encounter it.

3. Read instructions. Before you start playing anything, it's important to read instructions and tips, which are most probably provided by the developer. Although motorcycle activities are easy to play, knowing what to do increases your chances of winning it, and not looking stupid. Generally, these pastimes include using a few keys on your keyboard, mostly the up, down, left, and right arrows. The instructions also tell you what the activity is all about, and what the goal is. Ideally, you should be reading the instructions, and not skipping out on them like most people do, so that you know exactly how it should be played. Take note that many games are not just about speed racing.

4. Know your skill level. Games generally have varying difficulty levels to suit different types of players. Beginners should start on the easy level. This does not have to be explained, though. Some players are too excited to get to the average, or even difficult levels. Of course, they would most likely lose quickly. The easy or first levels get you accustomed to the games. On the basic level, you get acquainted with it, while practicing your skills. You also get to know the obstacles and opponents, if there are any. In short, practice first. When you think you have made it through the easy round, go to the next level. Many motorcycle racing activities do not have varying difficulty levels though.

5. Play with friends. It's more fun if you can play with your brothers or friends. There are games that provide dual-player capability so you can race against each other. It's more fun than playing alone.

Children Can Enjoy Playing Anime Games

Anime games happen to be among the top most loved games by children. These games involve child-like characters who are supposed to accomplish a certain task.

Most of the anime games have been influenced by the Japanese culture. It is this influence that has made many children be attracted to such games. You will find some of the children always pestering their parents that they would like to play the games online. The drawings and graphics used usually mesmerize and attract children. It is for this reason that many children want to play the game. It is not a surprise to find the some of the wallpapers and wall hangings on some of the children's bedrooms reflecting some of the characters found in the anime games.

You will also find that some of the children are so in love with the characters found in the games such that they start behaving in a way to emulate the anime cartoons.

The anime games are not only for fun but also have lessons that can be learnt. For example, some of them will involve the characters in the game going through difficulties and fighting through certain situations. The message that is portrayed to the player is that they can go through various circumstances by facing hindrances head-on and tackling hurdles as they come. In this way, the person playing is able to gain courage and self-confidence.

Many times when children sit down to play anime games, they know that they are going to face a challenge and struggle as they play on. As they tackle the various challenges that they experience in the virtual world, the game also prepares them mentally for some of the challenges that they will face in the real world. However, the children are still able to have fun and get excited as there are moments where the anime character has victories.

When playing the anime game, the player (who is a child) will choose an anime girl or boy. The anime character is then given a task that they should complete. The player is then introduced to the virtual world where he has to think and act like the anime character.

Parents should be advised to look for anime games that will help their children. Not all them that are found online are helpful. It is also advisable that the parents should be around their children when they are playing such games for support and direction.

Your child can now play anime games online.
