Mage Leveling Guide - Obliterate Enemies With The Right Mage Leveling Spec

Leveling a Mage in World of Warcraft is problematic for one single reason, mana consumption. You will deal considerable amounts of damage no matter what Mage leveling spec you will get. But in order to do quests properly and not sit all day to regenerate mana, you need the best spec. And you will find it in this Mage leveling guide.

The Mage has a lot of damage. The most damaging spells are in the Fire talent tree. You will be able to one-shot equal level mobs most of the times. But those powerful spells also cost a lot of mana. Buying mana regeneration potions and foods doesn't cost that much. But the problem is that foods will take time to replenish your mana. Especially at the higher levels. So what do you do?

Well, Frost is also a pretty nice Mage leveling spec to go with. But the best one, on my opinion, is the Arcane leveling spec. And that's what I will show you in this Mage leveling guide. When you reach level 10 and receive your first talent point, unlock the Arcane line. After that keep putting points there with the exceptions of the Improved Counterspell and Prismatic Cloak abilities. You won't need those as you do quests.

The rest of your points should be spend in Master of Elements 2/2 from the Fire line and Piercing Ice from the Frost line. These two skills will increase your chances to critical hit a target and also help you save some mana.

The reason why I chose Arcane is that you have some very good skills that will save you a lot of resources. The first one you get is also one of the first talents you can train, which is Arcane Concentration. This will give you a 10% chance for your next spell to not use any mana. You can see how useful that can be. Another such talent is the Arcane Flows one. At the maximum rank, this will reduce the cooldown of your Evocation spell by two minutes, along with other abilities. If you recall, the Evocation ability will channel mana back to you. With the Glyph of Evocation you will also gain health along with mana.

Those are but two reasons why I think that this Mage leveling spec is the most appropriate to use. You will also have a point blank area of effect spell that you can use at any time. This will make it really easy to defeat groups of mobs and help you finish quests faster. I know that you will have a good journey to the level cap if you use what you saw in this Mage leveling guide.

To be really fast in PvE, you should also get a leveling guide. Find here the best Mage Leveling Guide.
