WoW Paladin Guide - Warcrafts Versatile Class!

The Paladin class are a nice class to plat in World of Warcraft although they can take a little getting used to! They're a very versatile class with the capability to assume the role of a damage dealer, tank or even healer.

The Paladin is considered a cross between the Warrior and the Priest and it's understandable why as the Priest class are considered the best of the healing classes and the Warriors being a great tanking and damage dealing class. The Paladin class meet in the middle with good DPS capabilities and healing capabilities.

The Paladin is a little restricted on the races that can be chosen with just Draenei, Dwarf and Human available from the Alliance races and Blood Elf and Tauren available from the Horde races.

When it comes to Armor the Paladin can fully equip with plate armor which is the strongest armor available in the game and also possess the ability to equip a shield. On top of this a Paladin can equip two-handed weapons such two-handed axes, two-handed maces and two-handed swords.

So far one would think that the Paladin was a battle hardened damage dealer who should be placed on the front line in battle but the Paladins have some great healing capabilities too which is where they lend there-selves to the Priest class.

The versatility of the Paladin makes them very welcome in group scenarios such as dungeons and raids as they can deal out some damage and offer healing benefits for all the party members. These abilities are referred to as auras and the Paladin can shower their allies with these auras to help protect them in battle and provide other useful boosts.

The type of talent build will determine which type of role you take on in the game. The Paladin class are very capable Melee fighters as well as magic damage dealers for DPS and tank builds. When first starting out with the Paladin though it's advisable to equip the Paladin with items and abilities that will raise defense and stamina.

The Paladin class do have a flaw and that's that they can't deal out damage from range meaning they rely on close quarter attacks, therefore it's a good idea to get some nice defensive gear and equip the Paladin for battle. As you progress through the game you'll gain new abilities such as brandishing two weapons which will certainly help for taking out the mobs.

To conclude this Paladin guide I would say the Paladins are a great all round class that can adapt to any class role and is a welcome guest among groups for their abilities to heal and provide useful buffs for the groups members. As you progress through the game group instances become more useful and that's where the Paladin really shines through.

The Best Paladin Leveling Spec For Version 4.3.2

The Paladin is a very interesting class to play. Mostly because you can fulfill three roles in a group, depending on which talent tree you have invested points. If you get a Paladin leveling spec from the Holy line, you will be a healer. From the Protection line you will be a tank and from the Retribution line you will have a lot of damage. But in this Paladin leveling guide I will share with you the best leveling spec you can get.

In order to be successful in PvE, you need to do quests. To level really fast, you must finish quests fast. And that requires you to have a lot of damage to defeat the mobs quickly. The Paladin can get that while also being able to heal himself so that he will not require any down time between kills. So the Paladin leveling spec you should get has to be Retribution.

With this talent build you should use two-handed weapons to get the maximum amount of damage. As you level up, make sure you invest your points in the Retribution line. The abilities you should ignore are Eye For An Eye, Guardian's Favor and Selfless Healer. These abilities are mostly for PvP and you don't really need them as you do quests. When you reach the Acts of Sacrifice talent, make sure you only spend one point in that one. That will be enough to be able to train the last talent, Zealotry.

The remaining points for this Paladin leveling guide should be spent in Holy, Arbiter Of The Light 2/2, Judgements Of The Pure 3/3, Blazing Light 2/2, and in Protection, Divinity 1/3 and Seals Of The Pure 2/2. As you will see, these extra talents will further improve your damage and overall efficiency by a lot. Some may argue that ignoring Eye For An Eye in PvE is a mistake. That ability has a 40% chance to return 30% of the magic damage you take back to the attacker. Since monsters have very weak magic damage, this ability will not prove to be very useful.

With this Paladin leveling spec you will advance in the game very fast. Even if you do some Battlegrounds as you level up, you will still have enough damage to put down an enemy. To make sure you always have the maximum DPS available to you from your weapon, make an effort and get the Heirloom weapon from Justice Points. It is more useful in PvE than the one from Honor Points, which gives you Resilience that only works in PvP.

If you use the spec you saw in this Paladin leveling guide you will hit the level cap fast and also be useful in instances. Should you wish to join some.

Don't like this particular spec? Get another one from here: Paladin Leveling Spec.

If you need help leveling up, why not use a leveling guide to make sure you reach the level cap in no time.

WoW Paladin Guide

WoW Paladin Guide

The Paladin is a very versatile class to play in WoW as they are capable tanking, healing and deal out some heavy damage if need be. The Paladin is well equipped and can suit up in plate armor and shields and also use most melee weapons that are available.

A lot of the Paladins abilities come in the form of physical attacks and the Holy magic school. Divine shield also referred to as "bubble" is one of the Paladins most commonly known and used abilities. Divine shield can be cast instantly and renders the Paladin immune from any attacks from enemies for 12 seconds. Divine Intervention is also another great ability that protects not only the Paladin, but their party or raid members from any physical attacks.

The Paladin is usually well accepted by groups as they have several auras that will benefit the entire party as well as buffs which can also benefit other players in the group. A slight drawback to the Paladin is the abilities all consume mana and there doesn't appear to be a decent build for the Paladin that would combat this.

Paladin Guide Talent Tree

Holy Talent Tree

Retribution Talent Tree

Discipline Talent Tree

The Holy talent tree best suited for a Healing Paladin as it will mainly focus on increasing the effects of the Paladins healing spells. The Holy Paladin are more than capable healers and are known for their ability to heal quickly. The Paladin does focus more on single target healing and is slightly lacking in group healing scenarios! When opting for the Holy build it's important to get a lot of critical strike rating as this will mean the Paladins healing abilities will be more effective and some of the heals will regenerate mana which is always handy.

The Protection talent tree can make for a very nice tanking build for the Paladin. Equipped with a shield for protection and some cool abilities that will create high amounts of threat, Paladins are well suited and equipped for tanking in dungeons. Maintaining aggro on several targets simultaneously is what a Paladin tank does best. There are also some buffs that can be acquired in the Protection tree including; Blessing of Sanctuary and Blessing of Kings.

Let's conclude this Paladin guide with the Retribution talent tree.

While wielding a two handed weapon and being able to use several different abilities that deal great amounts of damage, the Retribution Paladin is a great class for both PvE and PvP. This wasn't always the case though; prior to the WoTLK, Retribution Paladins were almost never welcome in either raids or PvP teams. This is probably the reason why they have received a great boost and are now one of the stronger PvP classes and builds in the game today.

Overall, the Paladin is a well rounded and strong class, battling a Paladin can be frustrating sometimes because it seems as if they're almost invincible. On the other end of the Spectrum, playing a Paladin is a joyful experience and never dull as once you start to acquire enough gear you can switch between different builds if you get a bit bored of your role.

Paladin Guide - Best DPS Paladin Spec for PvE

If you want to raid as a DPS Paladin, it's pretty much obvious that you have to choose the Retribution spec. However, there are talents that aren't very useful for PvE DPS, from the Retribution line. So, here's a short Paladin guide for specializing your Pally for DPS.

Of course, since most of the talents in the Retribution spec will be capped, I will only point out the ones you shouldn't train.

1. Guardian's Favor. This talent improves your melee bubble and your Hand of Salvation. It's clearly a PvP talent, useless in PvE.

2. Selfless Healer. This talent improves the healing done by your Word of Glory on other players. You probably won't be even using this heal effect on yourself, so don't spend any points in this talent.

3. Acts of Sacrifice. This talent reduces the cost of your Hand of Freedom, Sacrifice and Salvation by 10% and also improve your Cleanse effect. But since Cleanse isn't your job in a raid, and you won't use "your hands" too much, this talent isn't useful.

Now, if you train 32 points in Retribution, excluding the talents I just mentioned, you will remain with 9 more points. In the following part of this Paladin guide, I'm going to tell you which talents you should train from the other talent trees and why.

From the Holy tree:

1. Arbiter of the Light - to improve your Templar's Verdict and Judgement, two abilities that you're going to use frequently as a Retribution Paladin.

2. Judgements of the Pure - to increase your melee haste by 9% and mana regeneration by 30%.

3. Blazing Light - to improve your Exorcism by 20%.

From the Protection tree:

Seals of the Pure - to boost the damage of your Seal of Justice, Seal of Righteousness and Seal of Truth by 12%.

That's about it when it comes to a decent (maybe the best) Paladin spec. However to complete the build of a WoW class, you must select the right glyphs. Therefore, I would like to end this short Paladin guide with a few tips regarding the glyphs that you should use for PvE DPS.

These are:

Prime Glyphs: Glyph of Crusader Strike, Glyphs of Judgement, Glyph of Templar's Verdict.

As you can see, all these glyphs improve your main damaging abilities.

Major Glyphs: Glyph of Ascetic Crusader, Glyph of Rebuke, Glyph of Hammer of Wrath.

Minor Glyphs: Glyph of Truth, Glyph of Righteousness, Glyph of Insight.

I hope this Paladin Guide helps.
