Shadow Priest Leveling Build And Talent Leveling Spec

Shadow Priest Leveling Build

The Priest class are a fairly decent class for leveling in WoW, although certainly not the best! I have only tested one suitable leveling build for the priest which was primarily a shadow build. The Shadow Priest build is simple to apply as nearly all the available talent points will be spent in the Shadow talent tree.

The key here is also to move down the tree quickly scooping up the better abilities that will serve you better dependent on which stage of the game you're at.

To kick-start the Shadow build I would take Improved Shadow Word Pain as this will improve the Priests damage dealt. Then I would grab the Darkness ability and skip Veiled Shadows for now.

In tier 2 I would take all abilities and assign all talent points to these abilities except for the Twisted Fate ability which can be skipped for now and taken a little later. Now you want to move down the talent tree quickly to unlock the Vampiric Embrace ability.

To move down the tree I'd take the Harnessed Shadows ability and apply 2 talent points here, then I'd assign 1 talent point to Shadowform. Now you'll be able to move down the talent tree again where you can obtain Vampiric Embrace which is a great ability. The Silence ability is nice to and I would spend a talent point here next.

Mind Melt and Machochism are next on the list for the Shadow build and 2 talent points can be assigned to each of these talents. At this stage your Priest should be a nice build with decent damage abilities and a strong resistance against attackers.

To move further down the talent tree you'll want to go back to both the Twisted and Faith and Veiled Shadows ability that were skipped earlier and then take Vampiric Touch. Directly from there you'll now be able to take both the Sin and Punishment and Shadowy Apparition abilities.

Now you can take the prize ability Dispersion and your build is almost complete. To finish up you'll want to assign the last available talent slot in Shadowy apparition and 2 points to Paralysis, Pain and Suffering and 1 talent point in psychic horror.

That's the Shadow Priest talent build complete, as you can see most talent points have been assigned to this talent tree making the build easy and a reliable build for leveling.

To finish the build I would spend my last 4 talent points in the Discipline tree on whichever talents you find best suitable. You'll find that the Priest class aren't the easiest class to level in WoW but they are a great deal of fun and fit into groups well due to their unique abilities.

The build mentioned above should serve you well in both solo quests and grouping in Dungeons.

WoW Priest Guide - Warcraft's Healing Class!

The Priest is primarily a healing class and are considered to be the best healing class in World of Warcraft. The Priest is a great class to play for both PvP and PvE scenarios and are more often than not very welcome in dungeon groups and raids due to their healing capabilities.

Although the Priest is primarily designed as a healing class a nice Shadow talent build will focus more on a priests damage output and will make for a nice PvP (player vs player) build.

The Holy Priest build provides the best mana efficient healing build and will see that the Priest is very welcome among raid groups and generally welcomed among groups across the board.

The Discipline Priest build will reduce damage taken and improve the Priests healing capabilities. The Discipline build is more focused on the Priest alone and less on abilities that will benefit an entire group.

The Priest class are definitely suited for the more social gamers in Azeroth who like to group up and complete dungeons and raids. Some may find the Priest a little slow and boring in the earlier levels but as you progress and your character grows stronger you'll see just how valuable the Priest is with many windows of opportunity presenting there selves.

One slight down fall to the Priest is they are prime targets in PvP battles due to their healing capabilities. Taking a Priest out first is a strategic move to stop them healing not only there selves but their group members to.

If you're looking to play the Priest class and are planning on mainly solo questing your way through the game then the Shadow talent tree should be the primary focus of your build. The specs from the Shadow talent tree also offer the best build for leveling a Priest quickly.

One thing to take into consideration when first exploring Azeroth as the Priest class is that they are more fragile than most of the other classes, like the Warlocks they are only able to armor there selves with cloth and rely on long ranged magic damage to defeat their opponents.

Can Priests Be Used For Leveling Alts?

Sure, the Priest can be used for both dungeon leveling purposes and solo questing. The build type will determine the Priests leveling capabilities. For solo questing the Shadow talent tree is the best option for the Priest as this will improve the Priests damage output. For dungeon leveling scenarios the Holy Priest build is the best option as this will improve the Priests abilities for there self and their group members.

Priest Leveling Guide - The Priest Leveling Spec That Works!

The Priest is the main healer in World of Warcraft. So you would think that it is either impossible or difficult to level one without a group. Wrong. The Priest can solo just as good as any other class in the game, provided you get the right Priest leveling spec. Many players tried all sorts of combinations to make them kill fast and decrease down time, and the leveling spec they realized it was good is the one I am about to share with you.

You might call this a Priest leveling guide because this is the spec you need to do quests really fast. It is obvious that for leveling, you train in the Shadow talents. Which is the damage line of this class. While most players add all the points in Shadow, a good Priest leveling spec doesn't do that. I will get to the reason why you shouldn't do that in a second.

As you level up, put your points in Shadow. Do not spend any talent points in Improved Psychic Scream, Silence, Paralysis and Psychic Horror. These abilities are crowd control spells that you only need to use in PvP. Putting points in them as you level up is just a waste as you won't need silence and disarm in PvE. But what is really great about this Priest leveling spec is what you do with the rest of the points.

They should be spent in Discipline, all of them. The abilities you need to train there are Improved Power Word: Shield 2/2, Twin Disciplines 3/3, Mental Agility 2/3, Evangelism 2/2 and Archangel 1/1. These abilities will help you survive more damage, improve your damage and also help manage your mana. Mana consumption was always a problem for the Priest.

And that is the reason why you shouldn't put all your points in Shadow. If you do, you will run out of power very fast and you will have a lot of abilities on your quickbars that you will never use.

If you plan on doing a lot of Battlegrounds, than make another talent build for PvP only. When doing quests you only need damage and good mana management to make sure you don't have to waste time regenerating it after every few kills.

I am certain that if you follow what you saw in this little Priest leveling guide, you will have no trouble in PvE whatsoever. This Priest leveling spec has proven to be very useful to anyone as long as they were rushing to get to the level cap.

Want a spec that you can use in both PvP and PvE? Then you need this Priest Leveling Spec.

If leveling in WoW is the problem for you, then get the best Priest Leveling Guide.

WoW Priest Guide - Healing Is What They Do Best!

WoW Priest Guide

The Priest falls into two different class roles which are Healer and Ranged Magic Magic Damage Dealer. The Priest class is considered to be one of the best all round healing classes in WoW. Priests can also deal out some heavy damage, but are generally regarded for their healing capabilities.

There is one slight disadvantage to playing a priest, depending on how you intend to use the Priest class to play the game, but Priests aren't a good class for leveling!

The shadow talent tree is good for increasing the damage output of the Priest, however this can still prove to be an awkward build due to the spells consuming a lot of mana.

One major pro in the Priests favor is that once you've reached higher levels, you'll always be welcome in groups and raids as Priests are a valuable asset to any group.

For instance Priests possess the ability to to cast a stamina buff not only on themselves but on that of their party and raid members. Also spending a few talent points in the Discipline Talent tree will unlock another buff called Divine Spirit. Divine Spirit allows the Priest to provide a spirit buff.

The Priests spells are Shadow and Holy based spells. The healing spells of the Priests are derived from Holy power and there are various different HoT as well as AoE healing spells to choose from which in my opinion makes the Priest the best Healer in WoW.

Priest Guide Talent Trees

Discipline Talent Tree

Holy Talent Tree

Shadow Talent Tree

For players that like to heal and play PvP, the Discipline build can be a great choice. The Discipline Talent Tree has some decent talents that will make the Priest stronger and improve their healing abilities. Discipline Priests have proven to be great builds for single target healers.

There's also some pretty cool abilities to be gained from this talent tree such as Pain Suppression and Power Infusion.

Another great talent tree for focusing on a Healing build is the Holy tree. In my opinion the Holy tree is the best talent tree for focusing on a raw healing build. Additional healing spells such as Circle of Healing can be acquired in the Holy tree which will increase the Priest healing abilities.

The Holy build will reward more bonus healing as well and is generally considered to be the better healing build for PvE gaming scenarios

To finish this Priest guide we'll cover the Shadow talent build. You see, although the Priests are exceptional healers, they are also classed as Ranged Magic Damage Dealers and can deal out heavy amounts of damage too.

The Shadow build is all about making the Priest stronger. Most of the priests damage output is done through DoT spells and fast spells like Mind Blast and Mind Flay. Shadow Priests can also support their groups by placing debuffs on targets such as Vampiric Embrace and Vampiric Touch, any damage output will be converted into mana and hit points for not only the Priest but the group members as well!
