Cataclysm Leveling Zones You Must Ignore

Leveling in World of Warcraft can take a while. Mostly because you have to go through a lot of quests and zones. When you get to the 80-85 level range, things tend to get even slower. That is why you have to pick the right Cataclysm leveling zones. That way you won't waste time doing the wrong quests in the wrong area.

Even from the start of the game, you have to choose the right areas to level in. Most Alliance players prefer Elwynn Forest and Horde players Durotar, because they are the most efficient when it comes to doing quests. After that, you will have several choices that will differ from one another. And it is the same when you get to the Cataclysm content.

The Cataclysm leveling zones you should avoid are those found in Vashj'ir. This area is completely underwater and even though you will receive underwater breathing and swim speed buffs, you will still move rather slow, mostly because you will do so in a tridimensional surrounding. It is true that you won't need to fight so many mobs at first, but the quests here are pretty scarce. You will also get a water mount eventually that will help you move around a lot faster.

The fact that this area is underwater also means that you won't be able to use Flight Paths to shorten your journeys. That will also make leveling a lot more time-consuming.

The area you will want to begin your journey from level 80 is Mount Hyjal. This is a normal zone that doesn't involve going underwater. You will be able to use your flying mount here, so moving around will be a lot easier. There are a lot of mobs around so you will have some trouble with them right at the start. As soon as you complete a few quests and update your gear you shouldn't have any more trouble.

Another plus for this leveling area is the fact that you gain reputation with the Guardians of Hyjal. If you complete all of the quests in this area, you will level to 82 or 83 and also be able to buy items from the Quartermaster for this faction. You can buy some level 83 items that are pretty good, and also some level 85 items which will work if you don't have anything else.

So when you hit level 80 and want to start leveling in Cataclysm, make sure you ignore Vashj'ir and go for Mount Hyjal. That is if you are in a hurry to level up. If you want to see something different, then you can try the underwater Cataclysm leveling zones of Vashj'ir.

If you want to see the other zones, then have a look here at all the Cataclysm Leveling Zones.

WoW Zones By Level For Mists Of Pandaria

A new expansion is coming to World of Warcraft, Mists of Pandaria. A lot of players have already played it in the Beta versions. They had a chance to play the new class, the Monk, and the new race, the Pandaren. If you haven't played the expansion yet, you will find this very useful. I will share with you the new WoW zones by level that will arrive sometime this year.

With the Mists of Pandaria expansion 5 new levels will be added, thus increasing the level cap from 85 to 90. Since a new race is also added, a new starter area will be implemented as well as several new zones where you can achieve the new level cap. If you want to go through these fast, you will need to know what they are called and for what level ranges. So let's start with the WoW zones by level for Mists of Pandaria.

The new starter area for the Pandaren race will be called The Wandering Isle. After that you will need to use the same zones you have until now for the 10 to 85 levels. After that, you will enter the new zones. And here they are:

The Jade Forest - 85 to 87
Valley Of The Four Winds - 86 to 87
Kun-Lai Summit - 86 to 88
Townlong Steppes - 88 to 89
Dread Wastes - 89 to 90
Vale Of Eternal Blossoms - 90

Alternatively, you can level from 85 to 90 in one single zone called Krasarang Wilds. Since you will be leveling several characters here, you should try both ways to see which one is fastest. One obvious benefit to leveling in a single large area is that you will be gaining a lot more reputation with the factions there. If you change zones a lot, you might not achieve this as some zones gain reputation for different factions.

One thing I know is that we will have our work cut out for us when this expansion hits. Not only will we have a lot of characters to get to level 90, but we will want to level up a Monk also and some other classes using the Pandaren race.

Knowing the WoW zones by level that you need to do quests in is very important. I hope this sneak peek at the new Pandaria zones will help you get an idea of where you need to go first.

Which WoW Leveling Zones Are Best?

World of Warcraft has a lot of content. That is why you will notice that each level range, has several options in terms of areas. Especially at the low-level, you will see quite a few WoW leveling zones where you can go and do quests and such. But not all of them are the same. And the secret to leveling fast in WoW, is picking the right area to complete quests in.

In order to do quests fast, you need a few things. You will need to know which quests to do and where they are. You will also need to do them in a certain order to maximize experience gain. Having the right talent build is also needed to make sure you defeat enemy NPCs quickly. And the last thing you need, is to be in the right WoW leveling zones.

If you visit two areas for the same level range, like Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley, you will notice what I mean by the right leveling zones. Both of these areas are for the 68 to 70 level range, but they are very different in efficiency. In Netherstorm you will have less aggro, more accessibility, better visibility and also many more quest hubs than in Shadowmoon Valley. Not only that, but you will also gain experience with the Consortium, which will offer you very good results.

So the right leveling zones are those in which you have a lot of quests to do and they are easier to get to. Especially in the lower levels where you won't have a flying mount. If you choose an area that has a lot of hills and rivers that you cannot cross anywhere, it will be very difficult to complete quests fast as you will spend most of the time trying to find a way to it.

Not only that, but in an area where you can move around easily, it will also be a lot faster to level a Gathering profession. It's better to move in one direction and just pick up whatever resources you find, than having to climb over hills to get them. So the secret to leveling fast is to move around fast.

It's true that from level 60, you will get your flying mount. Even so, it will still be important to make the right choice when it comes to WoW leveling zones. The terrain is not the only decisive factor in this, you also need the right quests and something extra that will make it worth your while. Like gaining reputation with an important faction or having a lot of resources to get as you level up. Choose the best WoW leveling zones and you will reach the level cap very fast.

WoW Zones By Level From 1 to 60 for Horde and Alliance

When starting a new character, choosing the right WoW zones by level is really important if you want to level up fast. Needless to say, the best Horde leveling path is different from the Alliance one. These paths can however intersect at some points.

Although it's really easy to choose your leveling path beginning with level 60, when it comes to the WoW zones by level from 1 to 60, there's a different story. Since you don't have a flying mount, and for 40 levels you won't even have a fast ground mount, if you choose the wrong areas, you will waste a lot of time.

In general, it's best to choose zones with high accessibility and visibility, and of course, zones with plenty of quest hubs. This way, your leveling process will be smooth.

Anyway, to make sure you're going to level up without a hassle, at least from level 1 to 60, here are the best WoW zones by level to go through, for Alliance and Horde.

Alliance

Elwynn Forest (1-10)
Westfall (10-15)
Loch Modan (15-19)
Wetlands (19-26)
Northern Stranglethorn (26-32)
Cape of Stranglethorn (32-36)
Western Plaguelands (36-40)
Eastern Plaguelands (40-45)
Badlands (45-47)
Searing Gorge (47-50)
Burning Steppes (50-52)
Swamp of Sorrows (52-55)
Winterspring (55-58)
Blasted Lands (58-60)

Horde

Durotar (1-10)
N. Barrens (10-20)
Ashenvale (20-26)
Arathi Highlands (26-30)
Hinterlands (30-34)
Western Plaguelands (34-39)
Eastern Plaguelands (39-44)
Badlands (44-47)
Felwood (47-51)
Winterspring (51-55)
Un'Goro Crater (55-57)
Blasted Lands (57-60)

Now, depending on the race you create your character from, you may not start in Elwynn Forest or Durotar. But it's best to migrate there and start your questing from those zones. In these zones there are the main cities of Horde and Alliance, and you'll find more players to help you out, you'll find all the trainers etc.

Also, as you can see, both leveling paths for Horde and Alliance contain Western and Eastern Plaguelands. That's because after the Cataclysm, these zones were severely changed, and now there are quite many quest hubs here, with very easy to complete quests. It would be a shame to choose different zones for leveling from 34 to 44. A very good alternative for Badlands, from 44 to 47 is Tanaris.

Many players decide to start with the Outland zones at level 58. Of course, you get more XP from the quests in Hellfire Peninsula by completing them at level 58. But those quests will be much more difficult to complete at this level. Plus, if you're on a populated PvP server, you'll probably be delayed by enemy players as well. So, it's best to play it safe, at least when it comes to the PvE part and ding level 60 in Blasted Lands.
