Tips Regarding Your WoW PvP Gear

If you have a little bit of skill, it's quite fun to play battlegrounds using PvE gear, especially if you're a damage dealer. However, if you want performance, and high arena ratings, well, that basically can't be achieved with proper WoW PvP gear.

Tweaking your WoW PvP gear is also important. That's why in this post I'm going to provide a few tips.

First of all, the most important statistic for PvP is Resilience. That's why it's best to enchant your PvP gear with enchantments that boost your resilience, and also add Mystic gems into the sockets of your gear. However, if you're a damage dealer, there's a more important statistic than Resilience. That is Hit Rating. You need a minimum of 5% hit rating to make sure you don't miss with your special spells and combat abilities when you attack other players. Otherwise, you will be at a disadvantage. Therefore, the first thing you should do is cap your 5% Hit Rating, and only then start amassing Resilience.

A very good profession combo for arena is Jewelcrafting/Blacksmithing. Of course, capping both these professions will cost you a lot of gold. However, it's totally worth it if you want a decent WoW PvP gear boost. Jewelcrafting will give you the possibility to craft and wear 3 gems that are superior to any other gems in the game. Blacksmithing will allow you to add an extra socket on your bracers and gloves.

Engineering is also not a bad profession for PvP. It's very fun to play PvP as an Engineer. You get all kinds of bombs and grenades to troll your enemies and make them rage quit. However most of the Engineering stuff doesn't work in arena. There's one very useful thing from Engineering for Hunters though. It's the Flexweave Underlay cloak enchantment that allows your cloak to become a parachute and slow your falling. Opening your parachute when you use Disengage, will allow your Hunter to jump back for a longer distance, sometimes out of the range of your enemy. Therefore, this cloak enchantment can be quite a boost for your WoW PvP gear and for your whole play style.

PvP weapons usually have pretty good stats, including a lot of Resilience. However, especially for melee classes, in case you have much better, DPS-wise, PvE weapons, you should use those. As a DPS class, in PvP your main job is to deal damage. Even if you're a more tactical player, and a weapon with Resilience will give you more survivability, in the end, dealing more damage than your enemy will bring you victory.

I hope these tips about WoW PvP gear are useful.
