SWTOR Leveling Guide - Fastest Way to Reach Level 50

Do you want to know how to reach level 50 in SWTOR as soon as possible? Well, even if this post isn't exactly a step-by-step SWTOR leveling guide, you will surely find here a few bits of valuable information that will help you level a lot more faster. By the time you have finished reading this article, you'll know what you have to do.

Probably just like yourself, no matter what MMO I play, my number one goal is to hit the level cap as quickly as possible, and have my character ready for end-game PvP and raiding. Needless to say, I have the same goal for Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Leveling in SWTOR isn't too difficult, but just as in almost any other MMO, it's the same long and tedious process. Although Bioware has given a very neat storyline to each class, which also gives the game a very catchy atmosphere, if you get caught by it, it will take you a lot of time to reach level 50.

Ok, so let's see...

What's the Fastest Way to Level Up in SWTOR?

Not surprisingly, it's questing (or completing missions, to put it in SWTOR terms). And SWTOR quests don't have a high level of difficulty, in general, featuring quite a distinctive central leveling path. But there are always hidden objectives that can take a lot of time to discover, and shortcuts that can make your leveling process much easier and bring you a high XP rating. That's when a SWTOR leveling guide comes in.

Plus, if you know how to alternate your questing sessions with warzones and flashpoints sessions, you will also be able to keep a peaked XP rating. This aspect is also covered excellently by a SWTOR leveling guide I've been using.

SWTOR Fast Leveling Tips

Knowing questing shortcuts or the exact location of certain quest bosses or objectives isn't enough though, to have a quick progression in Star Wars: The Old Republic. There are also a few rules that I've learned by using a SWTOR leveling guide, that I'm going to share here.

1. If you want fast leveling, skip all the NPC talking in each quest. Pressing "space" allows you to do that. Sadly, I wasn't able to find out about the "skip-talking" command only on my second day of SWTOR. Every time I asked about it in the game chat, the trolls that were everywhere, gave me only erroneous advice, like: "Press ALT + F4, that'll do!"

2. Enable area loot. Looting a large pack of corpses one by one will considerably slow you down.

3. Choose an AoE specialization for leveling.

4. Although most classes have at least one basic healing ability, it's always a good idea to have medpacks with you. Dying after you have cleared a cave full of mobs, right before you complete your objective really sucks, and doing it over and over again will surely slow you down.

Now, to level fast in SWTOR isn't that difficult. But in order to do that, it's best to know exactly where to go and what to do, when to join a warzone or a flashpoint, and what quests to complete, especially in flashpoints.

A SWTOR leveling guide can be a lot of help. You will find more details about the best one of them, only a click away.

Tips On Moneymaking With World of Warcraft Alchemy

For all those experienced World of Warcraft players, if you have been playing for some time now, then you know that alchemy is a great way o make money and accumulate gold. We are going to explore some of the methods to this in additional to hidden gems. Our goal is to give you good ideas to get the most out of your time invested with alchemy.

The first thing that comes to mind to many is to sell your transmutes. Sure it's a solid plan to make easy money, but there's definitely a downside. And that is that there will be a limited amount that you will be able to achieve every day. And to make it worse, you will be forced to decide between a number of different approaches. Make sure to always examine the value of products that went into making the transmute and also of course the results. If you are only selling your cool down, still verify that you cannot make more money doing it yourself.

Most of the time, the Living Elements are going to be the best bet. When it comes to the value of volatile life, it's less expensive than other counterparts and therefore the easiest choice. Just make certain to price the frequent changing element prices and guarantee yourself that this is going to be the greatest return on investment. Some servers will let you pull off a 6 to 1 return even simply by carefully observing the markets and getting the timing of the sale right.

Some will choose not to deal with keeping an eye on the auction house. Lucky for you, there is the option of selling the cool down at a flat amount rate. It may vary by server, but the transmute won't. And by taking this route, you can expect to make lots of truegold. And if you are already a World of Warcraft transmute master, you will make a ton of moon with this approach.

Keep in mind that this method does not depend on a mastery, however, the following approach will.

In all raiding guilds flasks are in soaring demand. As an elixir mater you can be well positioned to make a large profit. Most of the time, items in the auction house sell for a small fraction of the cost of the materials used to assemble them. Consumables such as flasks are definitely not any different. The secret behind making money is to make sure you get elixir mastery. You will gain the power to create multiple products utilizing only one set of materials. You may only need to make one, but over the long haul you can end up having enough process and make a great monetary profit.

Being a raider, I will tell you that I have been utilizing these tricks and methods to support my costs during raids and I have been doing this for many years. Just do an element transmute on a daily basis and you will have enough money to cover all your repair bills. The potions and flask I make with my alchemists and this supports my entire consumable demand. This way I keep process for use in raiding and I sell the small initial amount to get my money back. Pay close attention to these easy tips and tricks and in a short amount of time you will have lots of money and be able to save lots too.

Playing The Intriguing Mahjong Game

Mahjong is more than just a game. In many Asian cultures, it has become a way of life. It has easily become a favourite pastime for many, and has been fully absorbed into part of the lifestyle.

In other societies, the normal topic of many conversations, may be the weather, or sports, but in the Chinese community, the most prevalent topic, is often the previous Mahjong game players' score.

The Mahjong game is played almost everywhere, at home, in private clubs, and it is played on social occasions, such as birthdays, weddings, holidays and almost any occasion for entertainment.

Mahjong is idolized in almost the same manner as the game of golf is revered in the west. There is a now an almost cult-like following, with associated theorizing that insinuates that Mahjong truthfully expresses individuality and provides the opportunity to express personal freedom and indulge in self-satisfaction

Perhaps an immediate reason for the increasing popularity, is that it is easy to play and simple to learn. Players also claim that it relieves hypertension and improves mental concentration and alertness. The therapeutic effects, can often be noticed by playing the mahjong game after an exhausting work week.

The game offers opportunities, not only for socializing, but also the chance to demonstrate the ability for independence, without being influenced by adverse comments or actions from opponents.

The Mahjong game is played with a set of 136 tiles, of Chinese characters and symbols. Four players are seated on each side of a square table. Different regions may use a different number of tiles, but generally, each player receives thirteen tiles. The objective is to match all the tiles in his or her hand before the other players. Players, in turn are allowed to draw a new tile from the table or pick up a matching tile discarded by another player. The second objective is to assemble the highest -scoring hand. The score is based on the probability of achieving a certain combination. The lower the probability of achieving the combination, the higher the score awarded.

Very few devotees of the game, can actually explain the captivating appeal, and why the Mahjong game itself can be so engaging. Some avid players claim that the strategic manoeuvres that are involved, simulate challenges that may occur in real-life. Once the game begins, reality is often suspended, and players can easily become immersed a world that overflows with expectations and anticipation.

Endless variations make it difficult to evaluate the strength of opponents, and this may also contribute to the intrigue. No two games are the same, and each session presents a unique set of challenges and opportunities. Warhammer Invasion the Card Game: Deck Building Strategies

When looking through cards trying to decide what to put into your deck it is easy to be wowed by high cost cards. The trouble is without the right amount of low cost cards the big dogs will never see play.

You need a reasonable amount of cards that cost 3 or less resources with only one loyalty symbol on the board. Our play group has dubbed these First Turn Cards(FTCs)*.

In order to create a balanced deck you need to have a large foundation of low cost cards to allow you to start gaining cards and resources early. This is why cards like Warpstone Excavation(a zero cost neutral support card that provides 1 hammer) are on the restricted list.

Warpstone Excavation is a free hammer that when played early can net you 5 - 7 resources or cards within the scope of a game. Low cost cards are huge in helping you develop a board presence before your opponent. Below is my Dark Elf / Undead Deck I plan on taking to Gen Con for the tournament. This deck works off sacrificing its own units for effects so it has a bit more low cost than most, but it still serves as a good example.

Units(number x cost + loyalty, bold denotes FTCs)

3 x 0____ Veteran Sellswords
3 x 0 + 1L Walking Sacrifice
3 x 1 + 1L Dark Initiate
3 x 2____ Crypt Ghouls
3 x 2 + 1L Dwarf Slaves
3 x 2 + 2L Thief of Essence
3 x 2 + 2L Vile Sorceress
3 x 5____ Wight Lord
3 x 6 + 3L Monster of the Deep

21 FTC Units

Support
3 x 0____ Warpstone Excavation
3 x 1____ Contested Village
3 x 2 + 2L Slave Pen

12 FTC Support

Tactics

3 x 0 + 3L Lash the Prisoner!
3 x 1 + 2L Dark Visions
3 x 1____ Warpstone Experiments
2 x 2____ Burn it Down
3 x 2 + 2L Sacrifice to Khaine

As you can see, out of a 50 card deck 33 of the cards can be played on turn 1 to gain me resources and cards for future rounds. That is 66% meaning 4 - 5 cards out of my opening hand are likely to be playable not counting the mulligan. Dark Elves are an extreme example as I stated before since many of these units are sacrifice fodder. As a generic standby rule I would use the following numbers as a starting point:

26 units --- 13 FTCs
12 Support - 9 FTCs

This gives you 22 FTCs comprising 44% of your deck. On your first draw, 3 of your 7 cards should be playable not counting your mulligan.

When you start thinking about the odds of drawing the cards you need the importance of a 50 card deck becomes even more important. Always keep this in mind when building your decks and be selective when choosing your cards. You can always take it out and try something else, but throwing a bunch of cards together isn't really giving any of them a chance.

Poker Play: An Effective Strategy At Any Level

I never had an interest in gambling until I moved to Vegas. I was living in the suburbs of Chicago and working as a kitchen manager of a downtown restaurant. I never had time to socialize since work seemed to take up all my time. I was usually too tired from the long days of managing the restaurant. My wife and I were in the process of building a house in a brand new development. After our house was built, we made the decision to moved to Vegas. The timing was perfect, there was a housing boom in full force at the time and we bought our 2nd home at a great price. I moved out ahead of my wife for the purpose of finding work in the restaurant business. She was a registered nurse and was guaranteed work at a very nice hospital. Everything was good, or so I thought. Still unable to find a job at that point, we both eventually settled in our new home in Vegas and sold our house in Chicago and then divorced. I was single and jobless. I went through a few meaningless jobs before I landed a job dealing poker at Binion's Horseshoe during The World Series of Poker. I had a natural love for the game and was intrigued by the math involved in poker. My fascination with being able to get good "reads" on people led me on a pursuit to learn all I could about body language and the math behind poker.

I have always had an interest in understanding people. I studied psychology at Middle Tennessee State University in the early 90's. I have spent the last 11 years studying body language and facial expressions to better understand peoples' personalities. It has led me down a completely different path than I had anticipated. My aim is no longer to improve my poker game but to use research and studies to help myself and others understand personality.

Poker was originally played by groups of guys getting together for a "friendly" game of cards. Games were held in inconspicuous back rooms, dimly lit, where going "all in" could cost you more than the money on the table. There was always the threat of being raided by police, mugged by gunmen or both. It wasn't until Benny Binion moved poker to the gambling mecca now known as Las Vegas to legitimize what we know as poker. However, today's poker is an entirely different game. From excessive numbers of players to accessibility to information found on the Internet about the game and new and improved methods of play, finding the advantages in poker are becoming scarce.

There are three basic ingredients when it comes to playing poker effectively. The first is understanding the numbers behind poker, in other words knowing poker math. Next, is the ability to read someone's body language. And the third is understanding a person's personality. In this article, I am hoping to show you how these three interact with one another and how you can improve your ability to read others.

The first part to learning poker is the math skills. If you are saying to yourself that you are not good at math, that's ok. With a little logic and common sense, you can understand the fundamentals. Just understand that the math never changes. The statistical chance of drawing a specific card has, is, and always will be a 20 per cent chance. The basic are the percentages or probability of making your hand. For example, when I was playing consistently, I would look for certain percentages of my hole cards (Texas hold em) before I would get up from the game and try my luck at another table. I know that I should see a pocket pair once every sixteen hands, suited cards once every three to four hands, and suited connectors once every forty-six hands. The big statistic that saves me a lot of money is the issue with pocket jacks. I always thought this was a strong hand, however I learned that when holding pocket jacks, my percentages of a higher card coming on the flop are greater than my chance of getting pocket jacks! Lesson: don't play jacks to strong, you end up a long-term loser. An advanced skill to keep in mind is your expected value. Without going into too much detail about it, it is basically what you expect to get from a given betting session, and armed with this value, helps make your decisions. It's a little tricky and should be reserved for when you move up the poker ladder to then next level of game. For now just focus on the basic percentages. Don't get ahead of yourself. Get the basics down. It wont take you long. It took me about a week to understand the basics, then I was off to the races. Once I had an understanding of basic percentages and EV (expected value) I was still hungry for more. I felt like something was still missing from my game. I found that in my ability to read body language.

The next ingredient is the ability to read someone's body language. The skills you learn here can help you in every aspect of your life. As I continue my research and study in body language, I am still in awe of how this information is not valued enough to be taught in schools. The basic premise to body language is never, and I mean never, take a single body language and make a judgment on just that one trait. Some guys say if you really want to know what someone is going to do on a poker table look at their feet. At their feet? Come on, when I am sitting at a poker table, the last thing I am going to is say, "your all in, can you wait a second, I have to look under the table at your feet and then I can make my decision. " no, I'm afraid this isn't what would happen at a poker table. And it defies our basic rule to take gestures in isolation. The key to body language is to take body language in context. If someone has their arms crossed, it usually means they are being defensive. However, if they are sitting under the air conditioner vent and its 60 degrees in the poker room, it could mean they are cold, not being defensive. This is the best advice I can give you when it comes to reading someones body language. Once you become familiar with the putting body language expressions together in a meaningful way, the more advanced stage is to focus on the face and facial expression. There are more nerve connections between the brain and the face than any other part of the body. The poker face is expressionless, motionless but full of information if you know what you are looking for. There is a lot to facial expressions, too much to cover in this article, but what i can tell you is that your game will drastically improve once you start studying the face and all that it has to offer. Once again stick with the basics, learn to read overall body language, then move to more detailed information in the face.

Once we put these first two together, we have almost completed our poker game. The third and last ingredient is understanding the personality of a person. Poker, at a basic level, is a game about cards. You play cards, you look at cards, and understand the cards. As you progress and step up your game to higher levels, poker becomes a game of observing and understanding people. The cards don't matter as much. Naturally, the best hand wins in a game of poker, but learning the skills to understand body language (in particular, facial expressions) and the type of personalities you are dealing with, is truly what the game of poker is about. It is very important to be able to tell if a person is lying to you. The greatest gift you can have is the ability to not only make good statistical decision, and read their body language, but to baseline the person's personality by what you see and hear at the table. Personality is composed of five key elements. One, the level of intellect. Two, their temperament. Third, their skill level. Fourth, a person's morality. And finally, number five, their attitude. To function highly on all five takes a rather unique individual. And everyone swings on a pendulum from high to low in each area. But knowing this is half the battle. Knowing how to apply this information is the other half. Once you are able to make intelligent decisions based on personality, with enough practiced, can make you unstoppable at any level of play.

These are the three basic ingredients when it comes to playing poker effectively. In this article, my hope was to show you how these three build upon one another and how you can improve your ability to read others and improve your game. First off, learn the math, it wont ever change. It is the foundation to build upon to be good at playing poker at the beginning levels. Next, learn body language skills, emphasize the facial expressions and context. Learn how the facial muscles react to stress and how wrinkles form based on the long-term use of certain muscles. And finally, read someone's personality traits by how they behave at the table, how skillful they are at playing, their level of intelligence and temperament.

By doing these things and becoming a life long student of the game, you should not expect to stay at whatever level you are at. You can improve you poker game and see amazing returns when these principles are applied. A word of caution, once you head down this path, you will see everything in a new light and understand human nature better. Your new found abilities may just lead you into directions you may not expect!

I will end this article with a true, real story. In 2004 I was full-fledged studying, reading body language, and profiling personalities everywhere I went. (I am sorry to those poor clerks at the Smith's on Flamingo). It was new to me then and it seemed as though I could read people at a different, higher level. I could predict how they were going to react based on the things I said and did. It was time to take a chance at the poker table. I had 140 dollars in my checking account and withdrew the money to try my hand at applying this to poker. I played for 31 hours straight, applied all that I had learned at that point and presto, it worked like a charm. I cashed out over 30 times my investment (over 100 dollars per hour) and was able to take home enough money to cover my bills for that month. With the little extra I had, I bought into a satellite at the Mirage a few days later. The WPT kicked off their season that year at the Mirage, so I wanted to test my new strategies at the next level. It was about 200 dollars for the satellite. I won it. Entered another, won it. Entered another, won it. In no time, I won enough money to cover the super satellite into main event that year. They were giving 37 seats that year and I think there were 355 satellite entrants. When they announced we had made to 37, I was about 15th in chips. A ten thousand dollar seat was mine, with only a two hundred-dollar investment. I sold the seat at a very reasonable discount to a friend and didn't play the main event. I took some time off to get better at my skills, and here I am, eight years later. Do I regret not playing? Sometimes. I think about what could have been. But in reality, the matter is I have not looked back on the decision to take a break in regret, and who knows, when the timing is right, you may see me at a final table of a main event someday.

PS3 Gaming Is Going Social - Why Co-Op Is Set To Revolutionize the World

With the news that Sony has just launched a new social network site in Japan called the 'Play Community', it is the only confirmation we need that the future of gaming is social.

So much so that Sony have taken it upon themselves to bypass the Japan Social network Mixi completely, with a stand-alone version of their own.

Based pretty much on the look of Mixi, 'Play Community' has replaced the official PlayStation community sites in Japan and comes complete with some additional gaming features and a new social echelon, which is set to revolutionize how games are played and developed.

Play community allows you to integrate and merge your existing PSN friends list and there's a special section for recruiting friends for multiplayer partners. This opens the door for greater gaming social activity worldwide.

Already the evidence that Massive Multiplayer Online gaming is the new trend in gaming cannot be ignored.

You only have to look at Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 which has its own social network integration built into the game. Your achievements and milestones are automatically posted to Facebook.

The new Snowboarding Supercross game SSX, allows you to share unchartered routes with your PSN friends. This makes the whole solitary experience, which is the nature of this game just that bit more social.

In fact it's becoming clear with some game developers that single player versions are becoming a second-rate gaming experience.

In AC Revelations for example you need to play the multiplayer version to unlock rankings and disclose some of the games darker secrets and mythology. It's impossible to progress in this game unless you co-operate with your online buddies.

Perhaps the strangest form of this social interaction can be found in 'Journey'. The whole basis of the game is to force you to befriend nameless online strangers to help you through, and solve puzzles together. You're not able to find out the PSN names of these individuals or chat, but you have to rely and trust one another to excel.

On the flip side in Dark Souls, single play isn't really single play. During the game you have to align yourself with various factions and depending upon your choices these factions will send other real online players to either help you or to kill you.

The future of gaming is definitely social and it won't be long before this social networking phenomenon is fused with gaming rental and cloud services like Love film and Steam.

Sometimes it may feel that you are missing out on great games and falling behind because of the expense.

Yes you can go the game-trading route but a far easier option that I've found as a love film subscriber, is to make use of the love film free trial option to audition games.

It will save you a ton of money in the long run and as a love film game package user you'll also be able to rent and stream movies to ps3 too.

RTS League of Legends - The Overview

League of Legends from Microsoft is a multiplayer competitive online game developed by Riot Games, set in an imaginative world. As it is a free to play strategic multiplayer game, players forms a team of 3 each or 5 each. These groups of players are called champions. League of Legends is a micro-manage RTS (Real Time Strategy). This game announced its entry on 7th Oct 2008 and got released a year later on 27th of the same month. As of latest statistics released there are 85 announced champions for this game.

Background of the game

The lands of Valoran have always been affected by continuing conflicts and Rune wars till it came to an end by the super powers creating an Institute of War. It is created to settle disputes by League of legends that have their users with magic powers compete with each other as part of a team to rule the land of Valoran. You fight the battle with your trusted champions to win the game and rule the world of Valoran.

How the game is played?

The game is played in a map area called 'fountain' with both the teams at opposite ends. There is something called 'Nexus' and the aim of each team is to destroy the 'Nexus' of the opposite team. Nexus is the final threat that is contained within the enemy's base. The game will be initiated at the lowest level, Level 1 and can go on up to a maximum of Level 18. There will be obstacles kept in the form of towers called "Turrets". There are also many other obstacles in the form of spawns thrown at you called "Minions', attacking opposite team players those need to be killed and also some monsters that attack both the teams. When you survive these, you get extra life or 'coins' and also move onto the next level. Each base where these 'Turrets' are placed is called a "Lane". The map area is called the 'Field of Justice' and the players can choose from the three available 'Filed of Justice' called Summoner's Rift, Crystal Scar and Twisted Treeline. Each of them differ in the number of "Lane"s it offers and the number of players that can play. Summoner's rift allows the play of 5 players each side with 3 lanes while Twisted Treeline allows only 3 players and only 2 lanes. Crystal Scar is released for the newly developed game type called 'Dominion'. Each team will be having a base that will have a nexus, item shop and re-spawn point. There will be turrets in the lane engaging enemies. Once a team destroys a turret, it is permanently destroyed that can't be revived in that session. There will be minions also battling the enemies in the lane. There are also some other type of elements called 'inhibitors' for each team. If a team kills the inhibitor of the opposing team, minions with more power to destroy the opposing team will be spawned. The destroyed Inhibitors can be revived after a certain amount of time.

Even though Leagues of Legends is a session based game, the persistent element in the game is the 'Summoner' who tracks the statistics of the game including the scores of each player. 'Summoner' can influence the game of play by gaining experience points and influence points from each session (battle) of play. They go to the next level of play with these points. Other than 'Summoner' that can influence the game, there are also Masteries and Runes that affect gameplay in certain ways. The store in the base of each team can be used to purchase additional options by the 'Summoner'. It can be purchased either using real money or through points earned during the game.

To achieve extra points or 'gold', each time has to destroy 'monsters' that reside in the jungle. These bonus achieved by killing 'monsters' can be used to the team's advantage in gaining more power for the attack on the enemy or for taking away some power of the enemy. There is also another element called 'brush' in the game that can be used to set up ambush against the opposite team. The first team to destroy the opposing team's nexus is the winner of the game. The game can also be decided by a voting system if one of the team surrenders. This can happen only after certain amount of time since the game starts and it varies depending on the 'field of justice' you are playing in. It is 20 minutes for Summoner's Rift and 15 minutes for Twisted Treeline.
