PS2 Games You Love Playing!

People are addicted with lists. They list everything from best pick-up lines to worst things to wear in bed. Well, I am not. When I was asked to make a list of the top games in PS2 I answered back with "Are you crazy?" There are hundreds of amazing games in the PS2 and listing only 20 or 10 of them would just be skimming the surface. I have a better idea though, I will list the games that best represent a gaming genre for the PS2. I know your specific game of choice might not be included here but rest assured that I will give you all the best reasons why I chose these specific games. Also, I will just mention 4 of the many gaming genres. If given the chance, I will continue with the other genres not mentioned here. So just sink your teeth into these.

RPG - Final Fantasy X

I am not sure if it goes the same way with you, but when I hear RPG, "Final Fantasy" pops up automatically in my head. Let's face it, Final Fantasy took role-playing to a whole new level and almost theatrical at some points. Final Fantasy X is something one can play today, tomorrow and the next few years and is a sure treasure for all PS2 fans. A lot may contest my claim but if you want to get the feel of an RPG, start with Final Fantasy X and you will then know a good RPG when you play one.

Racing - Gran Turismo 3: A-spec

A lot of racing games come and go. Some are just full of hot air while others fail to keep the gaming public on the edge of their seats. GT3 was all about the "experience". It had real engine sounds, real tyre sounds and accurate measurements of real courses. It was the paramount of racing games and set the bar high for soon to be released racing games.

Free-Roaming - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

GTA is the mother of all free roaming games. GTA: Vice City created such a spree in the gaming public that it easily became one of the most addictive games of all time. Meanwhile, GTA: San Andreas used the momentum from Vice City to propel itself from being one of the biggest games of all time to becoming one of the all-time best. The best quality of GTA: San Andreas is the way it captured the whole era (90's) and transformed it. This was a first in any form of media experience ever.

Action - God of War

We are all aware that action games are on a totally different level compared to all the other gaming genres. It's got blood, broken bodies, women and weapons. Needless to say, some action games capitalize on those things and end up good - but not the best. God of War took the gaming public by surprise when it came out. It capitalized on the 4 things mentioned above and added 2 things - a stylish and innovative combat system and a very high level of brutality last seen in the Mortal Kombat series.

Modern Warfare 3 Strategy Guide - Learn The Latest MW3 Strategies

Just recently Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 was launched and with the launch of this new game comes new strategies to survive in this one of a kind first person shooter. There are some brand new strategy guides available that will increase your kill/death ratios and in turn teach you how to become the best of the best. You will become an elite MW3 soldier. After searching online, a few MW3 strategy guides caught my attention, and I learned a few things while doing my research that I thought I would pass on to anyone else looking for a Modern Warfare 3 guide.

A decent MW3 strategy guide will offer high definition videos as well as a PDF guide showing you exactly how to perform the hints, tips, secrets and cheats. One particular guide was so thorough that it left me speechless when I was literally at the top of the scoreboard after every round. The other players were calling me a hacker and accusing me of having an aim bot. It seemed like only I knew these techniques and no one else playing could even get close to me. That felt quite awesome to say the least. I had never thought of trying a strategy guide before, but now I will never play another online FPS without having one by my side. I was the envy of all the other players who were dying every time I pulled the trigger on them. It feels great!

If you decide to get yourself a strategy guide for MW3 there are a few things to keep in mind. First, you will discover that there are a few different types of guides out there. There are the ones that just offer basic tips and hints that normally you will figure out after a couple of hours playing anyway. Then there are the guides that show you a few secrets and cheats that allow you to get to the top of the scoreboard for a bit until others figure it out and the strategy becomes useless. Third, there are membership sites that constantly update their database of cheats, hints, secrets and tips and offer HD video of everything along with a guide that you can keep beside you while you are playing. This is the type of Modern Warfare 3 guide that I found to be the most helpful. I find that the best strategies are the newest strategies, the ones not many people know about and aren't talked about in the forums. So obviously a site that constantly updates there strategies and tips will continue to guide you in the right direction long after the other guides become outdated.

To make things a bit easier for you, I have taken the time to review just about every strategy guide available for MW3, and I will pass this information on to you so you don't waste your time searching and trying to find the best one out there. Like I said, I am consistently at the top of the scoreboard and I am always getting messages asking me if I am using some sort of aim bot or hack, this still makes me laugh every time because I don't have any hacks or aim bots or whatever, I just have access to the best MW3 strategy guides available. Just because I took the time to learn the game, and learned about certain weaknesses doesn't make me a hacker, it makes me a finely tuned elite MW3 soldier.

Tired of Sucking At Halo Reach Multiplayer? Me Too!

I like to win. I do not like to lose, and I certainly don't like to be the weakest player on my team (win or lose). I've been playing Halo forever. I got the first Halo along with the Xbox when it launched. It's really the only game series I've stayed devoted to. Yeah... Halo, Halo 2, Halo3, Halo Wars, ODST and Reach. I thought that because I have been playing Halo for so long, that I should be better. I wanted to be better. I got sick of being "pwned" at Reach Multiplayer.

I have finished the campaign on Legendary on most of these games, and one would think it would give me a good chance in the Multiplayer realm. Not true. Oh man, not true at all. The truth is that Multiplayer is a whole different ball game. Different moves, different skills, different tactics, totally different game. Anyway, I played Reach Multiplayer enough to get myself up to mediocre skill, but that's not enough when you go up against good players. You need to be patient. You need to be stealthy and sneaky. You literally need to put yourself in the game and think about how you would survive and thrive if you were there.

Stop dying! I am learning that sometimes the best offense is a good defense. It's important to know when you cannot win a battle and how to live to fight another day. This is where armor types come in to play. I usually use Sprint. If I am in a situation where I am dying a bit too fast to survive a battle, I run away. I run away like a little baby. I go hide in a corner and crouch and disappear and recharge the shields. Then I go hunting. I find another foe and engage them. It's all about knowing when you are beat and escaping to fight again. You are no good to your team if you are getting kills, but getting more deaths. It's super important to stay alive. The kills will come.

Start putting the other team to bed. My problem with Halo Reach Multiplayer was I would just go running into the action and start spraying bullets all over the place. It's important to move carefully. Take advantage of other battles that are taking place and of weakened opponents. Take advantage of cover. Never get yourself into a situation where you are a sitting duck. Try not to run into open areas where you can be seen from all over the place. Move in cover, and in crouch when you can. Also, shooting from crouch at long distances greatly increases accuracy. Plus when in crouch, the other team cannot see your dot on the radar. You can see them, but they cannot see you.

Try not to be a lone wolf. I have a really hard time with this one. I really like to go head to head with folks and it's entertaining to go running into battles, but when you fight alone, you die. Period. Stick with your teamates where possible. Watch where they are. If you are using a headset, communication is key. Shout out to your team when your outgunned and where you are. Anyway, don't just run around by yourself, you will die by yourself.

Stay relaxed. I have noticed that when I get tense or angry, my game suffers. My accuracy gets much worse when I am tense. Don't let the game (espescially the other team) get under your skin. There are still idiots out there who think 'teabagging' or taunting is funny. Yeah, it ticks me off as well. But if you let these things bother you, you are already losing. Let it slide, and when you get revenge, put an extra bullet in them for me.

Take a look at my site: I Suck At Halo to find some useful tips. Anyway, my main focus lately has been letting the game slow down for me. Be patient, be cool.

Happy Gaming Folks

The Best Xbox 360 Games So Far - 2011

Waaow this is one of those topics that people can view in a lot of different ways, so instead of writing down a list of games that I personally think kick ass, I will look up a list of games that have been sold an immense amount of times and tell you why you should get it.

Red Dead Redemption

When you are looking to relive the old western world in sort of a GTA jacket, then Red Dead Redemption is one of the best games ever made. Packed with "missions" and side quests, Red Dead Redemption makes you live the old American days the way you choose to. Of course, there is a main storyline, but nobody usually cares for that and just wants to pick up a horse and blast their ways across the land. Another great thing about Red Dead Redemption is that there are loads of mini-games to play like, Texas hold em', the knife bashing between the fingers and loads more. You will surely be entertained for a good 60 hours and you can make create your own reputation (sheriff or bandit) in a lot of the cities you will travel to.

Halo (series)

One of the games that changed Xbox360 gamers' lives forever are the Halo series which are famous and still being played everywhere in the world. Halo is a game where gamers assume the role of Masterchief as he tries to stop numerous of alien scum in destroying humanity. Although this sounds really interesting, I can't help stop saying that people don't buy Halo for the offline campaign (optional to play multiplayer) and usually go straight through to the many options for online play which are really rewarding. When looking for a nice game of zombies, CTF, Versus, King of the Hill and many other game modes, Halo is THE GAME for you.

Portal

One of the games that focuses on puzzling and comedy combined is Portal 2. Within Portal 2 there is a great single player campaign which will be entertaining for as long as you play. You receive this special gun to create sort of like wormholes and luckily you can create entrances and exits, and from that moment on you have to use your brain to make sure that you shut down the testing program that has a nasty attitude (and is very cynical, for a computer program) and tends to make fun of you all the time. When you feel bored by playing by yourself, there is also a very different multiplayer co-op campaign which will rock your world!

The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim

One of the games that performs best and is definitely one of the most beautiful on the field of 1st and 3rd person RPG is Skyrim. Imagine yourself in a medieval world where magicians, knights, and archers tried to watch from mountain tops while trying to protect the lands and fight constantly to gain skills..... Welcome to Skyrim. Skyrim is full of quests and a rather compelling storyline which will keep you entertained for at least 80 hours of game time, next to the occasional dragon that drops by to try and kill you.

I know there are a lot of great games out there like Bioshock, COD7, MW3, Final Fantasy, Gears of War 3, but for now... out time is up! Visit for more consoles and video games reviews.

MW3 Strategies And Tactics - Learn From The Best

The tactics and strategies used in Modern Warfare 3 have changed a great deal since the last game. Now, it is up to you to learn and figure out the best possible striking action to take for your specific style of game play. There are certain techniques that can be taught to beginners and advanced players alike, so sit back and enjoy these free strategy tips I am about to unleash upon you.

As I was saying, and as you probably already know, COD MW3 has changed quite a bit since the last version of the game. For example, instead of having kill streaks, you now have what is called strike chains. This changes the game in a few important ways and that is one of the things we will be discussing in this article. Also, the weapons have changed, and now you will be able to level your weapons, unlocking weapon proficiencies as you go, allowing you to become more effective and powerful the more you play the game. Lets discuss these two topics in a little more detail to help you understand their importance a bit better.

Most people who start playing Modern Warfare 3 pick the assault class as their character, because the think they are just going to run around and "pray and spray" everyone, racking up the kills and points they desire and it's as easy as that right? Wrong! Now with the new implementation of strike chains a better way to rack up points is to use the support class and provide covering fire for your teammates. If you still desire to be a lone wolf however, the best class for you to pick would be a specialist, this class will allow you to run around with your guns blazing and you will rack up more points than just being the basic assault class, not that the assault class is not useful, but if you"re looking to rack up points there are better ways to do it and that is what I am letting you know.

Another great strategy for MW3 is to get your hands on the best weapons available to your class and rack up the kills leveling your weapon skills and unlocking the awesome weapon proficiencies that make all of the difference in the world when you are trying to rack up a bunch of kills and dramatically increase your kill/death ratio.

One of the best little bits of tactical advice I can give you is to get yourself a decent strategy guide. There are guides out there that provide you with all kinds of secrets, tactics, strategies and tips that 90% of other players know nothing about. This will give you a huge advantage and leap in skill. You will discover that you are quickly ranking up there with the pros using the specific tactics laid out for you in a clear and concise manner. There are all kinds of guides out there to choose from. Everything from the very basic class leveling guide to the complete guide that walks you through every aspect of Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 with HD videos and everything, showing you all of the best places to hide and slaughter tons of enemies as well as how to navigate all of the maps while remaining undetected.

Top 10 Video Games On The Xbox 360!

If someone has an Xbox 360, or are looking to buy one, chances are they're overwhelmed by the amount of video games available for the system. Here is a breakdown of the top ten Xbox games. Some are new video games, and some are based on video game reviews.

1. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Without a doubt, this game is a must for any XBox 360 owner. The graphics are stunning, and the playtime is unlimited due to never ending quests. This game gives players maximum control over their character's development and allows the player to choose their path as a Dragonborn.

2. Batman Arkham City

This game is the sequel to Arkham Asylum and gives players the ability to play as both Batman and Catwoman. Playing Arkham City will test melee combat abilities along with investigative skills as players battle through Arkham's roster of villains.

3. Gears of War 3

Gears of War 3 allows the player to join forces with other players in a battle to save humanity. Along with the amazing fighting, this game's engrossing story line will keep people playing.

4. Assassin's Creed Revelations

While still keeping with the amazing combat abilities that have marked previous titles in this series, Revelations takes a new direction with the story of Ezio Auditore and keeps the game feeling fresh.

5. Mass Effect 2

The alternate universe that players are continuing to battle for is stunningly rendered. The game allows people to choose their actions as they go, and this ultimately determines the fate of their team.

6. Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures

This is a whimsical game that takes players through the history of Indiana Jones. This adventure is a bit more amped up compared to other Lego titles; people can fight with objects around them, and they can swim, climb and crawl through the terrain.

7. Portal 2

While the cake may still be a lie, this mind bending adventure game is not. Filled with puzzles to solve and walls to run through, the Portal series is on its way to becoming a classic.

8. L.A. Noire

In an effort to make the role of a 1940's detective as real as possible, the game painstakingly recreated 8 sq. miles of L.A. as it was in 1947. The player's job in this title is to solve grisly murders by interrogating witnesses, finding clues, and searching crime scenes.

9. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

In this Star Wars game, the player is cast as Secret Apprentice of Darth Vader. While upgrading their force powers, players will get a peek into the goings on in the Star Wars years not seen in movies.

10. Bioshock 2

This sequel allows players to hold both weapons and plasmids at the same time, as players battle through Rapture, the underwater city.

This list of video games will be a great addition to any XBox 360 owner's collection.

Need For Speed - The Run Wii Review

It's fair to say the Wii hasn't had an abundance of decent arcade style racers added to its library of late, thankfully the latest game in the Need For Speed franchise comes to the rescue so if you like fast paced races you could be in for a treat.

When it comes to the visuals the cars in the game look pretty good but the background isn't that sharp, on the plus side the games frame rate is both fast and smooth and doesn't display any noticeable slow down during the main races.

It probably isn't fair to compare the game to the versions found on the PS3 and Xbox 360 as the Wii is quite different, during the games intro sequence you'll discover that your character is a racer known as Matt who comes across a mysterious woman.

The woman who remains nameless during the initial cut scene wants you to take part in a race known as The Run, The Run is a race from coast to coast and on the Wii You'll take part in 26 different races before crossing the final finishing line.

If you've ever played Burnout or Need For Speed Hot Pursuit then you'll be on familiar territory, while parts of The Run involve straightforward races in others you'll need to smash a set number of opponents off the road.

The game is far from being a driving simulator and it's not meant to be as you're able to pull off extreme power slides, features such as the hand brake and nitrous oxide add to the fun and it doesn't take long at all to get the hang of the controls.

Another feature that's been added to the game are the heroic manoeuvres and these can take a little practice, you'll use the heroic manoeuvres to dodge traffic, to dodge falling rocks and also to make insane jumps.

At times the heroic manoeuvres can feel a little tacked on especially then you're using them to dodge objects, other manoeuvres are done with the D pad on the remote and you have enter a specific sequence of button presses to carry them out.

The Wii is to date the most successful console to include motion controls but sometimes they're not needed, although there are exceptions the motion controls aren't always ideal for driving games and thankfully EA are well aware.

You can control the game with either a classic controller or you can use your Wii Remote and nunchuk, motion controls can be fun but in this case you can sit back on your sofa without bothering to point your remote towards your TV.

Adrian Williams has reviewed Need For Speed The Run in addition to a variety of the latest video games, for videos and further details be sure to check out his Need For Speed The Run Wii review.
